James L. Hoeppner, President & Chief Executive Officer
James Hoeppner has many years of experience in the alarm industry. In 1970 he began what is now known as Metro Alarm & Lock which has been the official name since 1974. James has been involved in the community in a variety of ways including Charter President of The Prior Lake Optimist Club, President of the Minnesota Burglar and Fire Alarm Association, and President of the National Security Dealer Network (1997 to 2010). He also served six years in the Naval Air Reserve and has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of his local Church. James has a degree in Electronics from St Paul Technical Collage and has attended a number of management classes and Dale Carnegie Sales.
Jim is a member of the Minnesota Street Rod Assn and he and Kathryn have several vintage automobiles. When summer comes the cabin becomes a frequent destination for recreation and relaxation.
Thomas R. Bonwell, Vice President of Operations
Thomas Bonwell started working in the alarm industry in 1984 and spent four years employed at Control Data prior to beginning his career at Metro Alarm & Lock. He has an Electronics Degree from Brown Technical College and has attended countless factory training classes including CardKey, DSX, Ademco, Radionics, Napco, Dictograph, FBII, DSC, Secutron, Mirtone, DMP, Galaxy Control Systems. He has numerous certificates through the NBFAA and is currently working on his NICET Level III.
Kathryn M. Hoeppner, Chief Financial Officer
Kathryn Hoeppner has been part of the company since 1974 when the name became Metro Alarm & Lock. While her area of expertise is bookkeeping, she is also knowledgeable in many other areas of Metro Alarm & Lock’s business activities.
Jennifer Blomberg, Office Manager
Jennifer Blomberg manages the payroll, accounts payable, and maintains the banking relationships for Metro Alarm & Lock. She has a degree from the University of Wisconsin–River Falls.
Judy Borchardt, Sales and Marketing Manager
Judy Borchardt has more than 30 years of experience in the alarm industry. As Sales and Marketing Manager, she shares the depth of her experience to better serve Metro Alarm & Lock’s clients.
John C. Newman, Technical Sales
John Newman joined Metro Alarm & Lock in 1996 and is now senior tech. He began his career in the electronics industry in 1987. From 1990 to 1996, John has worked on dozens of casinos in the five-state area providing expertise in CCTV and audiovisual systems. He has an electronics degree from Dunwoody Technical College and has attended many industry seminars and trainings.
Patrick Fiscus, Service and Installation Manager
Patrick Fiscus has been with Metro Alarm & Lock since 2012 as a technician. He was previously employed at Central Lock and brings many years of alarm experience and knowledge of the lock business.
Brett Seebach, Inspections Manager
Brett Seebach joined Metro Alarm & Lock in 2016 as Inspections Manager. His past experience includes being a self-employed contractor and other positions that have provided related experience that benefits Metro Alarm & Lock.
Jamie Ebensteiner, Locksmith
Jamie Ebensteiner came to Metro Alarm & Lock in 2014 with 13 years of experience as a locksmith. He has been instrumental in building Metro’s locksmith division.
