James L. Hoeppner, President & Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Hoeppner entered the alarm business in 1970 and started what is now Metro Alarm in 1974. He has served as Charter President of The Prior Lake Optimist Club, President of the Minnesota Burglar and Fire Alarm Assn, served 6 years in the Naval Air Reserve, Chairman of the Board of Directors of his local Church, Graduated from St Paul Technical College with a degree in Electronics, completed both the Dale Carnage Sales and Management classes, and served as the President of the National Security Dealer Network from 1997 to 2010.
Thomas R. Bonwell, Vice President of Operations & Partner
Mr. Bonwell has an Electronics Degree from Brown Technical College. He entered the industry in 1984 and spent four years employed at Control Data prior to beginning his career at Metro Alarm. He has attended countless factory training classes over the years: CardKey, DSX, Ademco, Radionics, Napco, Dictograph, FBII, DSC, Secutron, Mirtone, DMP, Galaxy Control Systems to name a few. He has numerous certificates through the NBFAA and is currently working on his NICET Level III.
Kathryn M. Hoeppner, Chief Financial Officer
Ms. Hoeppner has extensive experience with this company and its bookkeeping, stretching back from 1974 to the present day.
John C. Newman, Technical Sales & Partner
Mr. Newman is our senior tech and has an electronics degree from Dunwoody Technical College. He began his career in the electronics industry in 1987 and has attended many industry seminars and trainings. Expertise in CCTV and audiovisual systems came from 1990 to 1996, while working on dozens of Casinos here in the 5-state area. Mr. Newman joined Metro Alarm in 1996 and became a partner in 1998.
Gary Reuter Jr., Purchasing Agent/Service Manager
Mr. Reuter was recruited in 2006 to be our Purchasing Agent. Today, he also operates as our Service Manager. Gary grew up in the Industry and spent many years at Alarm Products Distributors, selling security products, before joining Metro Alarm.
James Paul Hoeppner, “Jim Jr.”, Sales & Marketing
Jim Jr. Hoeppner has always worked for Metro Alarm. Today he is involved in the Sales & Marketing aspects of the company, but you may find him in any area of our operations on any given day.
Jennifer Blomberg, Accounting/Payroll
Ms. Blomberg has recently joined our staff as the Accounts Receivable clerk, having worked part time at Metro Alarm for many years. She has recently moved into the Payroll Department but handles Banking Services, as well.
Our management team is lead by Jim Hoeppner with his 40 years of industry experience. Together, the Metro Alarm partners have over 100 years of experience in this field.
